Wing · North Carolina
2027 NBA Mock Draft v. 1.0 with @CBSSports Adam Finkelstein
Sam expects Avdalas to be North Carolina's primary playmaker and calls Michael Malone a perfect fit for him. He's a 6'7 wing-guard who needs more strength to exploit the mismatches he creates. Sam sees a range from the 20s to returning to UNC, noting a 15, 9 and 5 game against USC that Sam still called average. Adam notes he also started hot at Virginia Tech last year, and expects him to coexist well with Matt Able. Adam sees a terrific passer who will initiate in college but probably be an NBA connector, which requires making open shots and defending, so the jury is out.
