Austin Goosby

2027 NBA Mock Draft v. 1.0 with @CBSSports Adam Finkelstein

Sam calls this a talent-based dart throw. Goosby is a bouncy, NBA-level athlete at 6'5 with great passing and feel, and Sam sees him as a guy who gets things done and helps winning. The shot (about 20% from three in AAU) has to improve drastically. Sam also likes his defense, but Adam thought he gambled and wasn't disciplined last year and expects Sean Miller to fix that. Adam says he doesn't have a niche yet. Sam notes he could be a multi-year college player.

Way Too Early 2027 NBA Mock Draft | The First Round

Sees Goosby with a head start on tools: 6'5, slender, with rocket-ship athleticism and great length. He must prove he can keep pace at the college level and improve his jumper, but NBA teams are likely already excited long term, and he has the requisite feel.
